Civil roller assessments for experienced operators
CRE Resources provides on-site roller ticket assessments for experienced operators in Sydney and across NSW. This page covers civil construction roller operations under RIIMPO317F. We do not deliver training or courses; our focus is solely on assessing operators against the nationally recognised unit(s) of competency. Our assessors come to your site and assess your operator on your own equipment, through a competency assessment (RII), Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), or Verification of Competency (VOC).
What the assessment covers
Depending on the unit(s) being assessed, operators demonstrate their ability to:
- Plan and prepare for roller operations
- Operate the roller safely
- Compact materials to specification
- Work in correct rolling patterns and overlaps
- Relocate the roller and complete shutdown and housekeeping
The assessment process
Assessment includes a theory component (knowledge questions) and a practical component (demonstration of skills on the machine).
Entry requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Competent in written and spoken English
- Able to provide two forms of identification
- Access to suitable workplace equipment for the assessment
On completion
On successful assessment, operators receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for the relevant unit(s) of competency, issued by our partner RTO, SDS Training (RTO ID 32505). A competency card is available on request.
